How is playing the Switch in sunlight?

SteveGrabowski0

Is the screen good enough on the Switch to be able to play games outside in sunlight if you crank the brightness up? Or does it look like crap like say the PSP did if you were in sunlight? Also, how long does it take to charge the Switch? I imagine I'd run through the batteries really quickly playing it outside with the screen brightness maxed.

I've got one, and seriously, I haven't noticed it to be dim outside. It's brighter than the 3DS, if you have ever used one of those outside.

As for charging, I don't have any figures, but if you have a USB power bank, you'll still be able to keep on going, and anyway, with games like Zelda, you're still going to get like 3 hours of battery life. I can't imagine anyone sitting outside for more than 3 hours xD.

Nice. I'd probably be playing for 30 minutes to an hour at a time outside. My dog always wants to be outside and I'm getting bored reading the same physics books when I take her out lol.

Oh yeah, you'll be more than fine for that.

Its got good brightness, but on really bright days (like you shouldn't be outside bright); it's a little dim. Otherwise it's good. I don't have Zelda personally, but the battery ran for 4-5 hours for Mario Kart with 2 Joycons. Adding a powerbank will also hold your battery percentage (little charge/perhaps discharge) so if you dont mind hauling around a battery bank its fine (any USB-C cable should work)
