Windows Lock Key???

So I keep looking at keyboard reviews (cause they're cool) and I keep seeing the 'windows lock key' on a lot of keyboards. What does this 'Windows lock key' do? Why is it there?

It disables the Windows key. Manufacturers claim its uber useful for gaming, even though everyone here basically never hits the Windows key whilst gaming unless they intended to.

So if you use your feet to game, it may be useful? Or you're a beekeeper who never wears gloves and your fingers are the size of the Empire State Building?

Considering most high end gaming keyboards have programmable keys, couldn't you just assign it to super awesome invincibility mode?

I don't think you can actually set Windows/Super to be anything else. I might be wrong.

Depending on your keyboard software, it may also be configurable so you can lock out other keys besides just the Windows key

Well, it's also the Super key in OSX and Linux.

It's very useful for me, I am a bigfoot and it got me into competitive 1337 CSGO.

On Razer keyboards with synapse it locks out your choice of:

• Windows
• Alt+Tab
• Ctrl+Alt+Delete

I've used it a grand total of once just to verify it worked.

I am so 1337 I use lua macros and stuff like that with 3 keyboards, one normal and one for each foot with macros.

the 3 keyboards help in LoL, WoW, Dota stuff like that but without gaming mode I would die

You should look into those harmonica mount things people use when they play guitar and harmonica at the same time. You can mount a macro keypad on that and use your nose. Then you'll be practically invincible. Match that with eye tracking software and you should be good to go.

I have one already with the razer orbweaver thing. I installed a butt pad on my gaming chair for extra functions and a wind thing so I blow into a mouthpiece to crouch ingame
