ssd+hdd, you can get a cheaper mobo if you want, the PSU is good.

The mobo is a very important component, I wouldn't advise you to save money on it. It's better to pay 10-15$ more, to get a better quality product. I guess you are planning to game on this system, so I advise you to get an SSD.

sufficient yes necessary no. Unless you plan to overclock you only need like a 50 watt roof

noted, thanks. also any suggestion on cheaper cases? I don't care about aesthetics, just quality and airflow
