So I was just trying to download games from steam and it said I didn't have any storage space, There's no way that is possible since I just built it and haven't downloaded very much onto my 1Tb drive. On the windows menu it doesn't even show that there are two drives (only shows SSD) how do I get things to download on my hard drive?

Click windows icon (bottom left / "start" button)

Type disk management

Go to disk management, and if your drive is uninitialized right click the new 1TB drive. (NOT YOUR SSD) and format, simple, no need to partition unless you want. Assign a drive letter. (Anything after the letter H: is a good idea, since USB drives will auto assign alphabetically from any open letters)

The drive needs to be formatted probably.

How is that done?

For win 10:

Start menu, search for "partition", and click on "create and format hard drive partitions" at the bottom of the window that pops up when you click it, you shoud see bars representing all of you drives. Right click on the HDD that is not recognized, and click "new simple volume" or "new volume". You will be guided by an installer-type wizard. When asked what type of file system you want to format the drive as, select NTFS.

Can you post a screenshot? The fact that it says System Partition tells me that you are formatting the wrong partition/drive. The section for the hard drive should be listed as "Unallocated."

Ensure you're formatting the new drive, not your SSD. There shouldn't be a "system" partition since you already have your OS installed on the SSD.

It says it is my "System Reserved" What does that mean?

That partition is found on the boot drive usually, but if you installed Windows while the hard drive was fully connected(power and data), Windows may have put it on the hard drive instead of the SSD.

If it is found on your SSD, then you are formatting the wrong drive. But you cannot format that partition as it's strictly for system use, and is completely required. As I suggested before, can you post a screenshot of the whole program window?

This is a screenshot of my current system. You can see the System Reserved partition is located on my SSD(Disk 0).

You will have to reinstall Windows. Windows reserved the entire drive for itself, and you cannot move a partition over to another drive AFAIK.

Yes, through a usb drive

It'll be the same process, but ensure all drives except for the SSD are disconnected(power or data, doesn't matter. You can disconnect both if you want to, and if you're concerned about power, disconnect the power connector(s)). Before going through with this though, back up any data that you want to keep such as video games, installation executables that you have saved, etc. Because the drives will be wiped(at least the way we're doing it).

Is it possible to download without the need of the USB or disk?

Nope, not with what we're doing.
