Hi everyone,

I want you to know that this is my firs Desktop build, and I have never heard anything about computer hardware since last week. Thanks to the help of @PCGuy_5960 I had a more clear understanding of the hardware I want in my new build, but there are still some things I don't understand...

I will use this computer with Windows 10 to develop videogames in Unity-Visual Studio (maybe Unreal Engine one day, who knows), and mobile applications in like Android Studio and XCode in Virtual Box (or VMWare); then occasionally I’ll render videos (Adobe Premiere) and do classic things, like using Office …

I’m going to use 2 monitors

Here is my build at the moment:

Monitors: Samsung S24D33OH I found this monitors, but actually I don’t find it on amazon, I found it in a shop and I wrote down the model, maybe I wrote it wrong, so I’ll tell you the specs I copied: 24”, 1920x1080, but it was displaying a UHD demo (?), 1ms, HDMI, and it costs around 160/170$. If you have a better monitor let me know.

Actually what I need for the monitors is good resolution (HD-UHD), 1ms and 60Hz or more. For the size, not bigger then 24". Would be good not ot have edges? I think so. The problem is just the price, I can't spend too much for them.

I'll explain my choices:

CPU: I chose Ryzen 1700 instead of the 1700x because @PCGuy_5960 told me they can be overclocked nearly at the same speed

CPU Cooler: I trusted @PCGuy_5960 who chose it for me, because I didn't know what to get

Motherboard: I chose ASRock Tachi just because I read it has wifi card and I haven't read the same for the Asus Chrossair IV, but I'm ready to change my mind, so let me know which motherboard is the best for you

RAM: I chose it because it looks awesome, and it's ddr4 3600, so even the CPU will run faster, with a so fast memory

Storage 1: well I read M.2 is way faster than SSD, so why not giving it a try?

Storage 2: more space

Graphics Card: chosen by @PCGuy_5960 for me, I also check some reviews and they say this is the best

Case: I've never considered it too much, should I?

Power Supply: I know this is very important, and I don’t know if this is the correct choice

So now, I’ll tell you all my questions now:

CPU Cooler: the site where I made the simulation, so here, shows a compatibility warning: “The NZXT - Kraken X62 Liquid CPU Cooler may require a separately available mounting adapter to fit the ASRock - X370 Taichi ATX AM4 Motherboard.

Motherboard: As I said before, I’m ready to change my mind

RAM: I read that both the motherboards support 3200+ (OC), which I think it means that they support 3200 and more, if overclocked, right? Because on the asrock specifications I found what shown in the picture below: looking at that I would say that you can reach 3200 when overclocked… can you explain me that? Will I be able to use the RAM I chose, or do I have to take the 3200?

Storage 1: would it be better a larger SSD for the purposes I’ll use this pc for?

Graphics Card: probably it is a really stupid question, but all GeForce GTX are by Nvidia?

Power Supply: So, considering all, is it a good choice?

Thank you so much in advance, if something isn't clear, ask me

One issue I see at first is that you can't use Xcode on Win10, as you can only run a macOS VM on an actual Mac. It needs the proprietary EFI boot loader from the mobo or something.

EDIT: and all your choices look solid, and the Tiachi is defo a good choice. The Asus Crosshair is supposedly the best Ryzen board now, but its more expensive and doesn't have as many features as the Tiachi, AFAIK. It's just Asus is a little bit faster with releasing their BIOS updates. Since you'll be creating content instead of trying to OC that Cpu 50MHz higher to grab a Cinebench score, you'll be more than happy with the Tiachi.

I didn't knew that, I found some tutorials on the net, but I've never tested them
