Can Corsair Dominator be overclocked to 3200 with Ryzen?

Does anyone know if the Corsair Dominator 3200 can be overclocked to 3200 with Ryzen?

It will depend more on the individual memory controller. I have a top end Asrock board with approved ram and it refuses to boot at stock spec.

Only reason it's not 2993 is because of bclk overclocking.

Then does anyone know of a mobo that allows a corsair dominator 3200 to be overclocked to 3200 with ryzen?

Depends how lucky you get with the memory controller on your SOC. Corsair likes to use a mix of memory IC's even on their expensive sets, so it's very difficult to predict if you're going to get lucky and have B-die on your particular kit.

From what I've seen, the X chips have a higher chance of getting ram to work at stock speeds, but non X chips can as well so it's a shot in the dark. That said, if you get a mobo with bclk adjustment, you can tweak a little more.

I agree, the X mobos have an easier time because they are built better with better heatsinks and chips. Except the Biostar ones, they aren't any better than the B350 mobos

Check for a BIOS update that may have fixed it.

And generally X370 motherboards have been unable to boot 3200 off the multiplier (this may have changed). But like you said you can hit them with BCLK overclocks.

We have a NEW and GLORIOUSER-ER-ER PSU Tier List Now. (dammit @LukeSavenije stop coming up with new ones)

You can check out the old one that gave joy to so many across the land here
