So my LEDs on my side fan turn off when something is wrong. I took my computer to my friends house and it was working fine before, but when I plugged it in at his house the side lights wouldnt go on, yet the fan works perfectly. When I took it home, I plugged it in and all that would come up is a command prompt-like screen with Reblic of Gamers logo (for just a few seconds) and then it would go to a windows loading screen. It would then say that there were some system issues and its trying to fix itself. It took an hour & a half to fix itself, and then the lights went back on. The computer was 100% after that.

Yesterday I went outside with the computer to blow it out with my air compressor. I bring it back in and the lights are doing this again.. the command prompt-like screen came on a few times but never tried to fix itself. I have lost a bit of frame rate playing some games & a few game crashes. I have no idea whats going on.

I've had my  computer for a little over a month, I bought it from a guy who had used it as his personal. He has never had this issue.

My system:

asus  gtx 1080 oc edition

rampage 4 black edition motherboard

Ocz fatality power block 750w

intel i7 processor

corsair watercooling loop

5 fans (only the side fan's led's turn off)

(i included pictures- 1 being the side fan that the leds wont turn on)

Help Please!

the only common denominator between the two occurrences is physical stress before hand. moving tower and blowing it out with air compressor. that is a a lot of air pressure.

I agree with the above mentioned things. You might have aloose connection on something, so check the interfaces. After moving stuff around, you always need to check for connection issues before powering back on.

If it works now, rotate it around and see if simple movement does it again. Maybe someone dropped a case screenshot behind the MB or something?

Yea the computer works, but I called the guy who originally sold it to me and he said you'll just need to factory reset. So hes gonna do that for me, then hes gonna install an ssd card for me for future the future if this happens again so I can factory restore.

Here's something that no one is mentioning.

Windows is on the D drive? There's a whole lot of wonky going on here. Windows should 100% be installed on the C drive. If even after a OS reinstall it happens. Let me know, and we can look at your event logs.

As a side note that is very very important. Your power supply was original released in 2010 and (I may be wrong) OCZ stopped making PSU's in 2013. So that is a long time for a power supply to run. I'd look into replacing it short term even if it is fine right now, you don't want an old PSU blowing up and taking half your hardware with it. (plus they smell bad when they go, like... smell for days)

Hi @Clegaine

Yeah no problem we can do Skype. I'm not home until much much later tonight though. (around 11 EST Canuck time) But I will have time tomorrow too. I'm at work right now and I am going out with my girlfriend after work, hence why I'm not back early.

But yeah, just write down whatever questions you have and we can review all of them.

I'm also on Hangout @ sylsync@gmail.com <-Burner email so I don't care if it gets swarmed.

Cheers!
