Simple LED strip

Go to solution Solved by Bleedingyamato,

Get some of cablemod's widebeam RGB led strips.  They come in a couple different lengths and you can choose between magnetic attachment vs adhesive.

Though I prefer the magnet version because it made the strips I got for my friend very simple to put in her computer and she really likes them.

I later got a strip for myself to put in my main desktop and it's very nice too.

To address your concerns no there's no boxes of other stuff just a cable to connect it to your PSU.

You control them using an RF remote that works great.  You can turn the strips on or off, adjust brightness, change color, and choose between multiple lighting modes including the ability to control the speed of color changing for modes that aren't a static color.

I personally just set my strip to static blue and turned the brightness down a little for a more subtle lighting effect and left it at that.  Love the strip.  I have no concerns about recommending it to you OP.

Newegg is where I got my cablemod strips from btw.

Akasa Vegas strips are as simple as you describe.

Or NZXT Sleeved LED kit. Though this one comes in 1 and 2m sleeved cables.

I buy bulk LED strips, usually in 5m spools and cut to length I need.

Strip I'm using in my rig currently is hooked up to a molex on +12V and GND and there's an on/off switch on the +12V cable so I can turn it off when needed.

Well the strip I have myself is some Chinese knockoff thing from Wish. But it cost me about $9, is USB and has RGB by remote controller.

There is simple solution. Go to your local auto parts store and buy some cheap LED strips that are 12V. Where I live you can get them for about 6 bucks for 50cm. These LED strips have two wires coming from them - one positive, one ground, usually red and black, respectively. Then all you need is power. You can either buy a cheap molex to molex extension and cut off the connector from said extension and connect the wires to the corresponding color or sacrifice an old case fan and use its connector to power your LED strip, by plugging the fan connector to your board.

Everyone seems to have some odd box or odd setup with their led strip.  I just want some 30cm strip, that plugs into sata or molex, thats it, any recommendations?

@GauntletV2 as @Bleedingyamato mentioned, we offer several different variations, but one thing is consistent, quality vibrant LEDs.

Our strips are 12v and SATA powered.
