Sounds good guys, thanks.

One other thing.. When will it start to throttle down, at what temp?

Usually depends on the target temp, but honestly, GPU Boost 3.0 does what GPU Boost 3.0 wants to do.

Hey all,

Just wanted to know what are actual okay temperatures for the 1080 Ti FE edition... I've noticed It's been around 80c without a custom fan curve.. When I manually set it to 75% fan speed it goes down to 75~ during load.

Is 80c OKAY? or is that almost hitting the ceiling?

80 is fine.  You'll be okay, after all, it is a FE.

Yeah, pretty standard stuff. You'll have to really push the fan to get more decent temps. Of course, as ambient temps are going higher, things will get even worse, but that's the kind of temps FE edition cards run at.

Or go and get an EVGA hybrid kit for it and water cool it. Then don't worry about temps again.

That was the original plan when I bought it before any of the aftermarket coolers were out... But evga has decided to up the price to $160 .. and its almost never in stock D:

But yea, Still eventually will do that... Just in time :D
