Which one*

Don't think they have witches on the LTT forum, they do have wizards though

*serious part*

Get whichever one has your desired feature set and/or is cheaper. Also, if you have any brand preferences or past experiences you can consider that, though i'd personally vouch for the Asus board.

Do you mind if I ask what model board you have?

i have a z97 game plus, for all i know gigabyte sorted their crap out and made a better bios, but my other issue is, they put the sata ports in a stupid position so my gpu doesnt fit in the x16 slot without being blocked forcing it to run in x2 pcie speed.

Hmmm..  I have a Z170X Gaming 7 and after updating to the most recent bios a couple months ago I can now use XMP with my corsair Vengence LPX ram without horrible crashes it seems but instead of running at 3000MHz it seems to be running at 2800MHz.  I thought there might've been one or two other issues after the bios update but I don't remember.

my bios is so sluggish, it feels like its been made in the 90s, on my z87 which my gf now has, everything was laid out so much better.
