gtx 1080 questions and problems

RidDIs

so i have a gtx 1080 and im pairing it with an i5 7500 and my fps is terrible 40% usage gpu and 90% cpu its definatly a bottleneck

and i want to upgrade to an i7 7700 how many fps will i get and is my i5 7500 really not enough for my gtx 1080 i dont really want to upgrade

i have 16 gb ram so thats not the problem in csgo i get 250 fps but in benchmarks ive seen 500 fps in the same setting 1080p also im only talking about 1080p

in rust im getting 50 fps in 1080p max settings and its a gtx 1080 im sure something is wrong and also in csgo changing the setting to low doesnt change anything

you dont need to do the same post twice, rust is a poorly made game, no wonder your fps is low.

so the high cpu usage is only from the game?

Wait, what? How come you're contradicting yourself in the same sentence?

NVM the entire post was a single sentence, ever consider punctuation?

Obviously not, you're on about upgrading to a 7700...

Sounds like a game issue. Pretty sure my 3rd gen i7 is close enough to a 7th gen i5. Just a guess.
