I need to move my desktop about 7 more times before I can put it in one place for a while this is over the next 8 months every time it is about a 50 mile journey by car over hills and mountains. What is the best way to transport the GPU in the case or out of it in the original box. Also will slotting it in and out 7 times be safe to do if done right or will it damage the contacts? If that is the case what can I do to minimize the possible damage... I was thinking if the psu came with what i think is anti static foam and I was thinking about bracing the gpu with those. also side note would packing the case in the original Styrofoam and box short anything out ? since it is regular Styrofoam.

Thanks in advanced.

Keep the card in it's own box, or at the least outside of the case. If you have a large and heavy CPU cooler I would suggest removing that while moving the PC too.

No, if done properly you should be able to remove and install the GPU as many times as you want, with it for sure not breaking before it becomes obsolete anyway.
