I want a intel build. I already have a graphic card in mind, the gigabyte gtx 1060 xtreme gaming 6gb. I just need help choosing the other components. I have a budget of around 500$ for everything else besides the graphics card.

why the xtreme gaming? a regular 1060 would be just as good and saves you money for better components elsewhere.

the 1600 is on par with the 6600/7600k in gaming but cheaper and much better in multitasking, and you also get a stock cooler to go with it.

the older FX cpus didn't perform very well but the new ryzen cpus are quite good.

Nah man that's not how you build a PC. You get a GPU that combos well with a system, and that means that if you have to get a little lower-end card in order to fit some other important feature in there, you do it.
