Welp, I remember when I started this server many months ago (like May 2015) it was barely 1GB, and up until I found this really cool plugin it was still barely 1.2GB, now it's over 13GB all thanks to this pretty cool plugin called Dynmap, it gives a web based google maps based view, if you do use a Spigot server or like minecraft in general (I put this is the programme/website section as it wasn't really about games as such, if an admin feels it would be better suited in another go ahead, but this really straggles the server, programme/website and games forum sections, have fun thinking about which one it would better off being in) then I would really recommend it as it makes building and exploring so much easier and more fun. But it will eat space as it stores the top down rendered chunks as images as best I can tell (have a look if you want http://93.107.39.104:8123) so RIP storage space. The more that gets explored the more it uses haha.

It will use more space the more you explore, I explored a lot so it takes up a lot*

* Back ups are a pain, so far almost 80GB of back ups

come back when you're running a FTB infinity evolved server and it takes up 18gb of ram and the map itself takes 50gb, and every backup.. oh god

it was running on my ssd, because if it didn't it would take a solid few minutes to reboot.

Ryzen 5 3600 stock | 2x16GB C13 3200MHz (AFR) | GTX 760 (Sold the VII)| ASUS Prime X570-P | 6TB WD Gold (128MB Cache, 2017)

Samsung 850 EVO 240 GB

138 is a good number.

this server is using 17.5GiB currently, I have no doubt it will eventually fill this up too, I thought 165GiB was enough for a while, so far it is

It's Spigot, so not really vanilla, but not modded, it's a "high performance" world, full 32 chunk view distances and 128block entity view distances are employed, and since it's java it eats memory

vanilla for me means that it's not modded (as in adds extra blocks, example would be IC2)

I guessed that much, I thought about it but it isn't needed, I like it how it is.

Could it be map size? Back in the days I co owned/modded a few fraction servers and multiverse and had access to some of web panels and some of sever size were huge but pretty much all have world limit. If not, people would just keep generating new chunks and that could be your issue.

I checked all the folders, sure as I explore chunk data grows, but the rendered images for Dynmap make up about 80% of the size, as they are PGN images.
