ye i my rx480 just shit the bed in my desktop and a laptop makes way more sense for me so ye but the rx480 runs most games at 1440p 144hz fine but a little more power in AAA titles would be nice would a laptop 1070 do that for me

yeah it could, at lower graphic settings

yeah, it would. rx 480 was meant for 1080p 60fps gaming, and 1070 was meant for 1440p 60hz gaming

depends on the games i guess, GTA ang Overwatch are quite different to run. (just to give an axample) and it also depends on the graphics setting you are willing to play at.

I don't have ga mgaming laptop myself, but ive been thinking about buying one. The only thing is choosing what gpu and laptop to get. idk if I should go with a small 1060 laptop(msi gs63/43 or AW13) mid zise 1070(asus gl502vs or AW15) or wait for the new (possibly)owerpriced maxq laptops, with a 1070(new gs63vr) or a slim 1080(asus zephrys). me an OP mwy have different uses, but i know how hard it can be to choose. 

 

What do you think? what should i focus on getting? i travel a lot, and this pc will be with me. i watch movies, play racing games, GTA and OW. mostly. I have the money to buy any of theese laptops, but i don't want to spend more than i have to, because of a couple of holidays comming up.

sounds smart. Laptop is way easier if you have to move your computer somewhat often.
