The 1050ti actually wont work because of both the small form factor case and the power supply. The 8100 elite with the i5 has a 240w PSU (EVGA recommends 300W minimum) and also only accepts low profile PCIe cards. Low profile means about a 2.5" height and the 1050ti is 4.3 inches tall. There are some low profile cards but not at the same level as the 1050ti and it most likely wouldn't suit you for gaming. If you found a 8100 elite from HP that is in a tower case (they made those) then you'd be set because it takes full height expansion cards and has a 320W PSU.

all these reviews show around 150-170w power consumption under load, and these are with high-end enthusiast i7s, not typical i5s. it will work.

I honestly didn't know that they had low profile 1050ti's. Should've done more research. Each one of those cards has a recommended 300W PSU but I'll admit I'm not extremely knowledgeable about PSU wattage recommendation calculation from the manufacturer. I shall defer to you then,
