Use case fans without a pc?

I know there's adapters/plugins whatever they're called to be able to use case fans without a pc (not sure what they're called though.

 

My intentions being for a little project I'm kind of curious about. I have a Ps4 pro that gets loud as fuck when playing a demanding game, the back half of the top panel gets very hot to the touch. I have well over a dozen Pc case fans lying around of varying sizes, so was wanting to do a little experiment to see if I could ghetto something together with the case fans to see if I can make my console cooler and a little quieter. Preferably a solution that lets me control fan speed so they're not going at 100%, although I do have those low power adapters some manufacturers include with their cases, so isn't a big deal if they aren't controllable

Just connect ground to the 1st pin and 12V wire to the 2nd pin to the fan and it starts spinning at it's full speed. 3rd and 4th pin don't need to be used.

You'd need a standard power brick for that and just a little DIY.

 

You could also get maybe a fan controller, connect 12V to that and then connect fans to that.

You could also buy an external fan controller like this one which plugs in to AC and let's you control fan speeds

but I think I found a solution, a power cord that has a molex end to it, so I can plug in a molex to pwm devices, which I could use to power fans. don't have any means of controlling fan speed though except for those low power adapters I have from case fan manufacturers
