Windows activation severs down

I bought a prebuilt PC from consolekiller.co.uk and they haven't provided any documentation for my windows key. I built a new, better PC but reused the HDD and now windows is asking for the product key, but because the activation servers are apparently down, my only way to activate it is through typing in the product key. The problem is I have no way of finding out what it was...
