I have a computer with a GTX 970 and a terrible CPU that bottlenecks it massively to the point where I'm playing DotA with inconsistent frames that peak at 60 (no vsync)

As I've given up on using this rig for gaming until I can obtain a new CPU I was wondering which Linux distro is the best for mining, and which cryptocurrency I should mine, I was mining ZEC beforehand but was wondering if there were any better options out there. Thanks

ZEC and ETH are the best you can do with GTX cards, I would recommend just doing ZEC to save the time from switching every few hours based on price shifts.

All linux distros are basically the same for mining.

Just get ubuntu, or something your familiar with... and just get drivers and a miner on it.
