Im trying to build a pc that can run csgo at 80 fps minimum. Most pc's in my area are 3 ghz core 2 duo dells with 4 gb of ram going for 40-100 dollars. I found a dell with a 3 ghz core 2 with 4 gb of ram and now im looking for a graphics card. To keep costs down, i would like to add a low buck gpu. I may be able to score a gt730 for cheap on ebay or craigslist and sell it for a profit. I also found a 9800GTX+ for 20 bucks but the psu might s*** itself. :) Which setup give me 80-100 fps on csgo on at least medium or high with no AA (options below)? After watching a few youtube videos of the gt710,730,and the 9800gtx+, it seems the cards get around 40-60 with the settings cranked up with AA on dual core athlons athlons and core 2 duos so i assume it can do 100 fps on medium with no AA. What do you guys think??

Option 1:

Core 2 Duo E8400

4 GB Ram

Nvidia Geforce GT710 or 730 1 or 2 GB

Option 2:

Core 2 Duo E8400 (same as Option 1)

4 GB ram (same as above)

Nvidia 9800GTX+ 512 MB

Possibly a different PSU (doing the math its around 250-270 watts assuming tower pulls 100-110 watts from wall stock)

Which option would be the best? The 9800gtx will sell soon so i need an answer soon

but is it possible the psu will overload itself on the 9800gtx+? I dont have a wattmater on me and the dell's psu is most likely 300 watts. I do not have a psu more powerful then 300 watts

gt 710/730 would be better as the PSU doesnt need to be replaced

see if you can find a GTX 750/Ti used tho

cheapest i can find without paying 10 bucks for shipping is 40. I will try the 9800gtx+ or a 40 dollar gt730. Im guessing the 9800GTX+ will get better fps being faster then a gt730. Plus after doing the math, the 300 watt psu (assuming still) might take a dump.

I just googled this and dell psu's are supposedly made by Fortron or HiPro, a reputable psu manufacterer. No wonder my 250 watt dell psu from 2004 hasnt kicked the bucket.
