I want M.2 because I don't have any hidden 2.5" bays.

You know you can use 2,5" in 3,5" bay right?

Honestly, normal SATA speed in M.2 port is a wasted potential. You should use NVME Drive on M.2 because its a better usage of it

Oh yes... Do you know any decent speed SSDs, any type, for £90

Crucial MX300 that you had will be fine, but I would change it to the SATA 2.5 one.

The MX300 is THE SAME PRICE :o and slower.

It is a good SSD for the price. Going with a fast NVMe SSD such as the Samsung mentioned above won't make any real world difference for gaming. Unless you are building a workstation you don't really need one.

Slightly over your budget, but a better gpu and monitor at the expense of the cooler. The stock wraith spire is pretty decent. You can always add a cooler later if you want.

The motherboard doesn't have wifi but you would be better looking at a powerline adapter if you can't run a cable directly from the router to pc.

My PC is a whole floor below and round some corners, but my wi-fi is so fast if I used one of those Netgear Powerline adaptors I lose like 97.5% of my speed.

Also, the monitor is too fast. Even with that GPU, it's not going to reach that speed, surely 120Hz would be enough?

I have used Powerline Adapters on my 80/20 Fibre internet without any issue. If you look at TP-Link for example you can choose ones with varying speeds and other options such as wifi and A/C passthrough.

You don't need to be getting 165 fps in order to use the monitor. A GTX 1080 will do a good job and any framerate dips etc are handled by G-Sync so you shouldn't get any tearing or stuttering etc like you could on a non G-Sync. Even a 1080 ti wouldn't get 165fps in most games.
