GPU Artifacting After Driver Install

I recently decided to update my drivers for my GTX 1070 and afterwards my screen went black and their was this wierd tile like pattern which appeared a minute later. It kinda looked like normal windows but with a line of giant pixels as my desktop. Afterwards I rebooted my PC and windows would not start and was stuck on a black screen with a loading icon. This happened before after driver updates so I booted into safe mode and uninstalled the driver and replaced it with the previous one, which was the only driver that appeared to work on my PC. However, after using my PC for a while and turning it off for the night, I came back the next day to find that it had gotten stuck on the same black screen with loading icon after I turned it on. I deleted the driver again and installed the earliest driver I could find. However, today I was playing overwatch and my screen suddenly went black and the same thing happened again! I don't know what to do now. In the past, I had reinstakled windows and that did not fix the issue. However, after the most recent update the drivers appear to be permemantly broken. Does anyone know how to fix this? And if I were to have to RMA my GPU, does anyone know what size screws and standoffs are used on the backplate? (I have a waterblock on my GPU, (the driver issues started before I installed the waterblock) and when I was reassembling the cooler I over tightened some of the screws and broke them in half and they are stuck in the standoff)

Try updating your BIOS or I would almost suggest an RMA. 

 

Edit: If you go to device manager and select the card, does it say its working properly or does is there an error?

try DDU, and reinstall again.

there's not really a better option. maybe try more voltage?

It says it's working properly when the driver is working

I think it's some kind of issue with the driver installed or GeForce experience because it appears to only occur when those things are open

The crashes, that is.

UPDATE: I fixed it.

So apparently after I used DDU to uninstall my driver and rebooted to reinstall the driver, windows update would install a different driver before or after I installed the driver I wanted. That driver was the one causing issues. So I rebooted into safe mode and rolled back the driver installed by windows update and that appeared to work.
