Hi There,

Lately I got an old Intel palr s5000.

As it says on the website intelark.com

The motherboard has an pcie 16 slot. But now I am looking on the product ( laying right in front of me ) and only see a " full height riser " .

My first question is : what is the riser for ?

And secondly: Is there any option to mount a gpu in the slot ?

( apologize for my bad English , I'm from Germany)

do you have pictures? often servers have a pcie looking slot that breaks out into 2 pcie slots via such a raiser , and yes those are normal pcie slots and compatible w/ any pcie device

RyzenAir : AMD R5 3600 | AsRock AB350M Pro4 | 32gb Aegis DDR4 3000 | GTX 1070 FE | Fractal Design Node 804
RyzenITX : Ryzen 7 1700 | GA-AB350N-Gaming WIFI | 16gb DDR4 2666 | GTX 1060 | Cougar QBX

yeap , that long slot is one that needs a riser and will most likely result in 2 pcie slots ,

something like this , but having normal PCIe16x slots

But are there any riser cards , that supply a pcie slot so that I can physically put in a gpu ?

I mean the angle of the slot is 90 degrees turned.

A normal gpu would just plug in upside down.

uhhh how do you mean ?  the gpu does not care if its upside down , and that picture i showed shows a PCI breakout , not a PCIe

OK...

Then I will have to buy a pcie riser card for my full height riser slot.

Tank you
