I have just noticed this ad on facebook, showcasing a real ripoff. Thought I might share it here:

- Price: GBP 2270 / EUR 2600 / USD 2900

- CPU: i7-7700k

- GPU: GTX 1080

- Mobo: Asus Z270

- RAM: 32GB 2400MHz

- SSD: 256GB

- HDD: 3TB

This is one of the most over-priced systems I have ever seen. If you ever want to get an expensive PC, build it. Really.

it's JD williams what do you expect it's a catalog for over 50's and they have a 20-30% markup as well as 30 odd % interest. and they expect you to buy it on the credit account instead of upfront.

Well, I have been in the UK only for 2 years, so my knowledge is not that complete :)

Okay so you know why the price is that high?

Take the amount you see from Newegg in America, and replace the dollar sign with the currency sign of the appropriate country. BAM. DONE.

No really... a GTX 1080 FE in the US cost $550. In The UK it costs £550... which translates to... $709.23. :P Hope you enjoy your time in the UK!

First as has already been said, that is a catalogue company that has credit accounts and elevates prices well beyond what should be charged (I've actually found the exact same computer being sold by the only UK high street catalogue retailer for just under £2100 which shows just how much extra that company is putting on), and I've just built up that system using the exact same parts (including the KFA2/Galax GTX1080 EX OC Sniper RGB graphics card) to my knowledge and without a case, power supply and cooler I've gotten a total cost of £1495.90 which would get to around £1900 depending on the case, power supply and cooler used as the final parts.
