DUAL CHANNEL MEMORY.

Go to solution Solved by SpaceGhostC2C,

Yes. The number of channels and the number of dimms are two different things. As long as you have 4 dimm slots in your motherboard, you can use 4x4GB. When you get the first 2x4GB, it will work in dual channel mode, one dimm per channel. After you get the second 2x4GB, it will work in dual channel, two dimms per channel.

This is my part list and this is the memory I am going to add

Its a 4x2 kit,as the prices of memory are high atm I am planning to buy another 8gb later.

But I just saw at amd official site that R5 1600X supports only dual channel?

I am confused.. about it,will a 4X4gb kit will be fine ?
