So at computex Riotoro has announced a couple new cases. I was admiring the flipped Mobo layout on thier website... But it's not flipped?

The way I see it the pci brackets are on top like a reversed case but, the front panel window is on the normal side. Additionally the mobo and pci cutouts start at the same spot indicating Lord knows what. Maybe it faces the wrong direction and we get a tempered glass panel for the back of the case. I'm assuming the power supply is in the front as it claims to have a separate PSU chamber.

Its probably just a botched Photoshop job but regardless its wierd. Additionally I haven't found any coverage of the Riotoro booth at computex so I haven't seen real images yet.

omg xD you're right, the way it's shown would never work.  wow

Solve your own audio issues  |  First Steps with RPi 3  |  Humidity & Condensation  |  Sleep & Hibernation  |  Overclocking RAM  |  Making Backups  |  Displays  |  4K / 8K / 16K / etc.  |  Do I need 80+ Platinum?

If you can read this you're using the wrong theme.  You can change it at the bottom.

Theoretically this case it at computex and I really want to see coverage of it, as mentioned here.

"RIOTORO is showcasing the new products at Computex Taipei 2017 and launching the products worldwide in Q3,".

Good thing its still in development.

Actually, if you look more closely at the photos, you'll notice both sides have windows.  The left side houses the PSU, which it appears is mounted sideways to the top-rear end where that honeycomb grill is located, and the rest of the space would be used for drives and cable management.  The motherboard does mount upside down and would be accessible through the right side of the case, where you can see a row of vented PCI slots.  I don't see the motherboard tray in the photo, so it could be a pre-production concept photo/render, or maybe the tray is removable.

It doesn't look as good as our new case, but oh well, they tried. 9_9

I'm pretty certain it's not tempered glass on both sides. The non tempered glass side has a noticable bump for cable management. It's only a 70$ case. Though it is almost certainly a pre prediction, The case isn't slated to come out tell late Q3.

@VIVO-US

I really like most of Rotoros looks I find them super classy looking for the most part (cr1080 is a little tacky in execution but a really cool concept). But aesthetics are subjective.

In my opinion your guy's cases are generic compensator cases so to speak. Your in pretty good company though so dont take it too badly, a lot of people like the look. But why would you use glossy plastic and colorful internal headers?

Out of curiosity, What's your new case? The V06w and V05 are alright. I can barely find any news on your cases, so I can't tell if those are the cases your referencing.

You're right, after looking again, the right side panel does have a bump for cables instead of a window.  Kind of makes you wonder how the final product will actually look!

Our cases do tend to be a little more generic in appearance for more mass appeal.  Some of the very unique cases look great, but the appeal isn't as wide, so we'd rather not get too much into that until we're a more widely known and established brand.  The shiny or flat finish on the plastic parts depends on the model, and it's just the less expensive (under $50) models that use standard colored wires.

The new one is CASE-V08.  We're still working on building the listings and searches, but you can at least see a small photo on my profile's banner.

Found a larger image from Riotoro, and some info from their website.  Looks like it will be dual chamber with the PSU and cables on one side and the motherboard on the other.  I still can't see exactly how it's constructed, but it looks like building in one would be pretty easy.

"CR500 – Tempered Glass Mid-Tower Case
The first of a new series, the CR500 Mid-Tower brings the elegance and crystal clear visibility of tempered glass to budget-conscious PC enthusiasts. And the CR500 is more than eye-candy. Like other RIOTORO cases, the CR500 provides the flexible foundation to build a high-performance gaming PC. Its robust steel chassis is engineered with dual chambers to isolate heat with Direct Airflow to streamline cooling of key components including the CPU and GPU. Mount points for 120mm and 140mm fans as well as 240mm radiators help the PC run cool quiet even when pushed to its limits. Building is made easier too, with tool-free installation mounts, flexible routing, and a spacious layout that makes customizing quick and effortless.
• Tempered glass window
• Dual compartments to isolate heat and streamline airflow
• Direct Airflow layout to improve cooling of the GPU and CPU
• Mount points for 120mm and 140mm fans, and 240mm radiators
• Tool-free installation, cable pass-through, and cable management tie-downs
• Available Q3"

I deeply respect cases that are innovative even when they are slightly lacking in certain areas. There is something to be said for something being new and taking new paths and that is primarily why I keep an eye on Riotoro, the other case maker thats experimenting with different layouts at the moment is Thermaltake. Everyone else seems to be making tweaks to the existing standard case layout only making slight changes with the aesthetics. (Also cudos to inwin for really mixing things up in the aesthetics department.) There is some decent variation when you start looking at itx cases but anything bigger is almost all the same.

The tempered glass one certainly doesn't look bad, the other case in your banner is presumably the V05. On the V08 the rounded edges certainly give it some nice organic lines to break up the industrialism of glass and metal construction, which is a nice touch it almost seems like a circle motif, its hard to tell from the image, which would be a nice uncommon touch. It also Its also an matx case right, I count 5 or 6 pci brackets?

Riotoro has done a dual chamber design before with thier cr1080. The dual chamber part of it is cool from what I've seen. The acrylic side panel however is a bit odd and probably should have just been a wider case. It seems like the cr500 could be a non reversed mobo version of the cr1080 with a glass side panel but time will tell. The PSU might be behind the mobo like in the 1080 or in front similar to the bit fenix phenom M. The pictures don't look wide so much as short, but perspective can be a pit difficult. Their do seem to be 7 pci brackets so it should be full atx size. But the back of the case also is clearly not reliable at this point in time.
