Hey guys! I currently have an RX 480 4GB, and I personally love it. It gets the job done (1080p 144hz). While it may seem weird as to why I want a new one, I'm essentially giving it to a friend for his birthday (big AMD person). So it's time to upgrade!!!

Any recommendations? Looking to spend less Than $300. It's mainly gonna be used for gaming at the settings I mentioned and maybe a multi monitor set-up for school.

*I'm not brand loyal, so either company is fine with me if the price is right* hoping to find one from Microcenter, but willing to wait a day or so from Amazon.

Rig: 6700k, EVGA 16GB 3000RAM, ASUS Z170AR, Corsair 600wPSU

I'd personally wait for VEGA, but it might be a disappointment at the same time.  On the other hand, you could go ahead and get a 580 which might give you a bit of a boost over the 480.

A 580/1060 or a used 980ti (1070 if you get it on sale or stretch your budget a little), not much more you can get at that price.

used 980ti, 1070 is a bit out of your price range.

The store doesn't have a 980 ti =< if it did I would probably go with it. It does have a few 980s at $200

Used gigabyte g1 980ti for about $315 sound like a good deal?
