USB hub and extensions

So I know there is a certain point at which usb cables drop strength and degrade wen it comes to the length of the extension. So I had an idea for my next build. I want to keep it away from the desk and I want to put it up on a shelf about 1 meter away from my desk. So I plan on buying a 2 meter or 1 meter usb 3.0 extension and a 7 port usb 3.0 hub. I'm not sure what kind of limitation I would have using this but the devices I would be putting in it would be; keyboard, mouse, usb audio interface, phones, camera (logitech c922), and headphones. my only question is, would I be able to use them all like normal? would I be able to use the software to control the lighting? Would I be able to use software on the camera? Stuff like that?

First off, it would need to be a powered hub with a power cord going to the wall.

Most likely the only consideration would be the fact that the bandwidth for the USB hub would be spread over all the devices, so between them only 5Gb/s of bandwidth is available, which with just mouse and keyboard should not be an issue, however when transferring large amounts of data the single USB port used could be a bottleneck.
