What is the £13 difference between a corsair rm750i and a corsair hx750i and is the difference worth the £13 or not?

Both are perfectly decent units. The RMi is gold-rated efficiency and is plenty for pretty much anybody. I'd get that and save a few bucks.

Wait, why do you want a 750W unit then? Planning to Crossfire?

U wont need 750watts but its nice to have a headroom.

Although u can save more money by buying the 650watts version.

the saving is only £2 so the extra 100w for that little is easily worth it

OK, well that makes sense enough, although I'd highly recommend when you do get the funds to Crossfire to just get one single more powerful GPU like a GTX 1080 which will yield fewer issues. Lots of games don't really take advantage of multiple GPUs.

its not about the game u play but the future games u are going to play is important as well.

Until now Multi gpu configuration for gaming is never been a good idea in general.

Because 2 gpu will cost twice as much, consume more power, output more heat but its rare for them to give u double the performance.

so if i ever do feel like i need more gpu power would it just be better to sell the current card and use that plus the money i would have spent on another together for one more powerful on?

Yep just get a single powerful gpu.

So u dont have to deal with the law of diminishing returns.
