I would go curved ultrawide anyday, its far better for productivity and it is really immersive

OP said he was using it for gaming and web, also it costs 200 bucks more.

web and gaming are much better on ultrawide curved, if OP can afford the ROG he/she can probably afford one that is 200 more. Movies and 21:9 video look beautiful on them

But this is not for workstation

Even if it is, I still think dual/multi screen is better than single ultra wide no matter what.

and since most video is still 16:9, so you will have to deal with black bar everytime.

For games, it's perfect for Racing/Simulators, Flight Sim, as long the game it self supports the resolution and aspect ratio.

But then again, if you can afford it, go get one.

I play shooters and some story based games

lately overwatch/pub/quake championship

witcher3/R7/outlast

and yes some games don't support the resolution.

Why do you think so highly of it

what makes the 144hz over the 100hz that much of a difference

For average people who doesn't notice that difference 44FPS? No not the best I forgot to say best in case (since that price is so different, you wouldn't spend $50 for a $12 speaker right?)
