GPU Fan stuck at 100%

Go to solution Solved by SorcierX,

Yea, go to their Support Page on the Asus website, they should be able to help

Recently I have been having a problem in which my 1070 Strix will turn one of its fans on to 100% RPM on boot. I can fix it temporarily by pressing on the shroud near the fan that is stuck on max. Sometimes a reboot will also fix the problem. Once I get it to turn off it may come on again within the first five min of the computer being on, but if it doesn't it will stay off until the computer is turned off and on again. It is always the fan nearest the IO for the card. I have tried reseating the GPU multiple times and cannot find anything on other forums. Any ideas on how to fix this or what the problem may be?

download MSI afterburner and try setting the fan curves yourself. That could fix your issue.

Ouch.

It should have a 3 year manufacturer warranty, even if the place you bought it doesn't still have a warranty for it.

Ok I take it I would find the information for the warranty on ASUS's website? I have never had to get anything fixed under warranty. Thanks for the help.
