Super-charging consumer laptops

I have a normal consumer laptop that I got a month or two ago I forget the exact model I will post it to this thread in an hour or two but it's a laptop and gaming is slow and as I continue to use it it will get slower. Is there any way I can make my computer keep speed like a desktop would by just replacing parts and stuff.

If it has Thunderbolt 3, you can use an eGPU enclosure like the Razer Core.

 

If not, you're SOL unless you spent at least $1,500 and your laptop has MXM.
