Troubleshoot the basics.

Update windows in start bar/search.

Update graphics drivers with a clean install, I.E uninstall old drivers with a removal tool first.

Update Direct x 11 and 9 end user run times.

Check dota 2 settings in launcher or game directory for repair.

if all else fails set all settings to low and raise one setting at a time to ultra till it freezes to find your issue, though with the age of the game and your 1070 it should crush ultra.

Good Luck.

dafuq is a GTX 1069?.. sounds like a bad joke that Linus would say

I spent $2500 on building my PC and all i do with it is play no games atm & watch anime at 1080p(finally) watch YT and write essays...  nothing, it just sits there collecting dust...

Builds:

The Toaster Project! Northern Bee!

The original LAN PC build log! (Old, dead and replaced by The Toaster Project & 5.0)

Seen similar issues with memory or power problems. Have you tested your card with any synthetic benchmarks?

Is it ONLY DOTA 2 that it has these problems?

Also make sure that you install a graphics card that actually exists...... GTX 1069?

If that does not work, run the benchmarks in a window with something like MSI Afterburner/EVGA Precision running. Check graphs to confirm power input, see if clock speed are doing anything odd.

Also check windows event viewer to see if there are any details there.

If you do not find anything of interest there, take a look at memtest86 and run a test from a bootable USB. Do a couple of runs and confirm that it gets to the end of the test without crashing.
