GTX 1069 CRASHING

So I bought a new GTX 1070 to replace my fairly new fairly old 1060, I ran dota 2 and after a few times screen just stopped, so I was forced to exit dota 2.....It happened 3x while I was playing causing me to lose 25 points in my MMR..road to 1k

 

What should I do??? Install 1070 drivers?? Or it wouldnt be needed since I had drivers for 1060.. shit help

Well if you haven't yet, you should  wipe your driver with Display Driver Uninstaller, then install the new driver. Do this every time you update a driver or install a new graphics card and it will save you tons of problems.

 

If you do that, fire up a benchmark like Heaven, or even just a Hero Demo so you can check whether the GPU is stable. If it's not, it's likely defective and you should return it and get it replaced.

Can i get a link on where to safely download these truck drivers??? And how to know if its stable??

A computer (or a subset of it like a graphics adapter) is stable if it works without crashing. Yours crashes, so it's not stable. It's just that.

 

As for the driver, just google geforce drivers and the first result should be from geforce.com

 

And for Display Driver Uninstaller, http://www.wagnardsoft.com/

I benched it in furmark a couple of times without crashing.

Furmark won't work, graphics cards purposely downclock when running furmark because it's a program known to fry perfectly good GPUs. Test on Unigine Heaven or on Dota 2 or any other game that pegs the GPU at 100%

CSGO doesn't use a lot of graphics, I wouldn't use it. Do Heaven imo

Or like I said go on a hero in Dota and Demo it, that should put the same load as your usual games.

Lol not sad, I've played some Omniknight and it's amazing what you can do. Mind you he can't set up kills really, but he can come and turn a fight around. Supports are the wizards of Dota, they dictate the flow of the match. Carries mostly just right click each other :P
