2 Titan Xp's will struggle wait till technology catches up.

I have been waiting for something like dell 8k for a long time.

I currently have asus swift 4k monitor.

my rig has

cpu: core i7 7700k

Gpu:gtx 1080 in sli. Asus strix.

I know that the 2 1080s will not be able to handle 8k gaming. So what about watercooled 1080tis in sli. Two 1080 tis cost around 1500$ where I live same cost is for a titan xp. Will the 2 1080tis perform well in gaming at 8k? Or should I just go all crazy and buy 2 titan xp.

1080Ti > Titan X (Unnoficially XP)

Titan Xp > 1080Ti

but 8K gaming is not good, no matter what you use. low settings and FPS are basically a given.

just play at 4K and upscale.

8K gaming is currently unheard of as current technology (yes even a Titan Xp) will not run it properly, wait for another year or so to let technology catch up.

Well Titan Xp (with a small p) is the best single GPU out there right now

make it more

you need a quadro card to be able to use the monitor

No you don't, any NVIDIA 1000 series or AMD 400/500 series card supports DisplayPort 1.3+
