Beware MSI having AM4 BIOS issues. Longest post times reported and lacking memory support.

EDIT: Windows 10 Pro $30 @ Kinguin

I have looked around a bit and haven't seen  any recent claims to this that haven't already been parched. can you link something baking your post?

Snip

Step down from that liquid cooler and get a Cryorig H7/H5, step down from an R5 1600 to an R5 1400. Use the saved money to purchase a GTX 1080. You're going to lose almost no gaming power by making that CPU change, and you've a lot to gain going from a 1070 to 1080

It is possible its been fixed but I doubt it. I was seeing this issues in motherboard reviews and reddit users. Posts are largely dated around April but I doubt MSI have overhauled their BIOS that quickly. Its up to you just making you aware the PC may feel slow to turn on and whoever you are building it for may be disappointed. Also the mortar is off-white you can get a proper white AsRock board.

the h7/h5 does not show support for AM4

those coolers, as with a lot of the ones on the market nowadays, will require you to message the manufacturer. They will send you one for free (if the one you receive doesn't come with one in the box) if you provide them with proof of purchase. Check out their website for more information. You could also just get a different cooler if you don't want the hassle. I was merely trying to say that if you pull out some of the spending in non-essential areas, you could increase the performance of your system overall by getting a stronger GPU and not actually have to spend any additional funds.
