Hey,

I recently found this prebuild on amazon that probably sells for less than I could build it for. How reputable is this company (cybertronpc)? Is the build altogether solid? I know it comes w/o a wifi card, is there anything else I need to know about these custom-pc build companies?

P.S. This is my first time buying a gaming pc, so sorry for the lack of technological know-how.

PC:https://www.amazon.com/CYBERPOWERPC-GXi10100A-Desktop-i5-7600-7200RPM/dp/B01N9IQ82G/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1495764234&sr=8-1&keywords=cyberpowerpc+nvidia+1060+6gb+desktop+i5

EDIT:

Thanks for all the comments. I didn't expect all these replies so quickly. Some things I wanted to say-

I would greatly prefer a pre-build as I am not a particularly tech-savvy person (I know building a pc is not spectacularly difficult, but I'd rather not take a risk)

I also prefer Intel and Nvidia over AMD, I just feel like their reliability and brand are much better. I don't like that AMD outsources it's manufacturing.

EDIT: Note i'm as surprised as you are, the GPU is selected by a parametric filter I always use for these builds so 1060s must have had a price drop/on sale.

EDIT 2: OP reasons why this is better:

- Building yourself is great fun, an achievement and you learn about how things work

- You are getting a lot more for your money

- An SSD for super quick boot times in windows and a large 1TB HDD to dump all your games and files on.

- An unlocked Ryzen 5 6 core/12 thread CPU, this will beat the locked 7600 from the prebuild and its 6 cores will see you well ahead into the future, whereas 4 core/4 thread i5s are near end of life.

- Faster RAM and more attractive RAM for a nice performance boost.

People should look more before posting very similar clone builds :P that's nice but a few things to point out are:

- No OS

- No SSD

- Mini 1070 so not true 1070 performance.

-SSD

-No OS ($30 on Kinguin or Reddit)

-Skylake instead of Kaby Lake (RIP 4K Netflix)

-1070 instead of 1060

EDIT: Choosemypc.net doesn't seem to have been updated with Kaby Lake or Ryzen, though.  Every budget level I give it it gives me a Skylake CPU.

Thermal adjust is the correct term ;) And it can be fixed with a more aggressive fan curve and by increasing the max temperature :D

Yes but as it is never a positive adjust, i.e. it can only get worse, throttling is a more accurate term imo :P

Thermal throttling means that it runs below its base clock :P If it boosts higher, it's not thermal throttling, it's thermal adjusting. BTW, 1070s are extremely efficient so I doubt that the card will perform worse than an FE card.
