DVID vs DisplayPort?

Hey all!  So as the title suggest, I am wondering if I already have a DVID cable that my ASUS VG248QE 144hz monitor came with would it even be worth upgrading to a DisplayPort cable?

It wouldn't be an upgrade at all because they both achieve the same result in this particular case. Both can do 1080 144Hz.

No difference unless you care about using the monitor's built-in speakers.

Thanks guys, and I think I will get it since it's relatively inexpensive and I do use the monitor speakers sometimes.  Again thanks!
