Hi

I found a dell inspiring on Amazon but it is a very weird configuration that I have never seen before. It has a a9 9400, dual core 2.4-3.2 ghz amd processor and a gtx 960m. The CPU is not hyperthreaded and the great thing about it is that it is only $300. Now that's a great price for a 960m but I was wondering how much the CPU will bottleneck the gpu. I like playing lower end titles such as overewatch at 1080p. Will it still be over 45 fps with this CPU at any settings

a fair bit, this laptop is so mismatched,

-crappy cpu

-decent gpu

it will work but your games will be bottlenecked by a fair bit, i would save up more money for something like a dell Inspiron 7000.

How much would they be bottlenecked, would I at least be able to get 60 fps on lower end titles at low settings

Glad you caught the resolution.  It took me a long time to find it.  It's so annoying when they say things like " HD Truelife Display".

Don't get it. It doesn't have a 960M. If you want a decent laptop for cheap and don't mind refurbished, you can grab an Inspiron 7559 for about $600 right now with the same specs I have in my sig.

...or you could just buy the same chassis but with the updated hardware...

Found this and... well... From what I can tell it's identical to my own PC but just has the internals upgraded... which is amazing. :D

To be fair, that chassis handles temps better than their 7000 series does... which is hilarious in my book. xD
