Well running GTX 1070 in SLI will yield you much better performance in games that support it and scale well.

It's also great for your showing off benchmark score :P

It depends if you acctually need more GPU power.

If I were you, I would sell both of those GPUs and get single 1080 ti. But before that I would SLI those 2 cards and run all the benchmarks just for my own pleasure.

You know it never considered on me just to sell them on then get a 1080ti!

Your right, thanks for all the help man!

Hi All,

First time posting so please forgive some errors just need some help regarding an SLI question as I am completely new to it!

Certain issues and RMAs led me to have two gtx 1070 cards and am just wondering if someone could first let me know are they compatible and able for sli and two is it worth it for my build.

Ill post my specs now:

★CPU: Intel Core i7- 6700k CPU @ 4.5GHz
★GPU: Zotac GTX 1070 Amp Edition OC + MSI GeForce GTX 1070 ARMOR 8G OC
★RAM: Corsair Vengence 4GB x 4 @ 3000Mhz
★Motherboard: Asus Z170-A Pro

So as said thanks to anyone who chooses to help me and comment, sorry if this is a stupid question!

Kind regards,

Gabe

Yes, all GTX 1070s can be used in SLI

And your motherboard also supports SLI.

I don't see any problems why it wouldn't work.

Intel i7 12700K | Gigabyte Z690 Gaming X DDR4 | Pure Loop 240mm | G.Skill 3200MHz 32GB CL14 | CM V850 G2 | RTX 3070 Phoenix | Lian Li O11 Air mini

Samsung EVO 960 M.2 250GB | Samsung EVO 860 PRO 512GB | 4x Be Quiet! Silent Wings 140mm fans

Well 2x GTX 1070 would in the end use more power and make more heat. Also SLI isn't exactly 1+1 = 2 in terms of performance. Maybe for some benchmarks, but that's it.

So GTX 1080 Ti is better than GTX 1070 SLI in any way if you ask me.

And in my country I can sell GTX 1070 for 350€, meanhile GTX 1080 Ti costs around 750€. Brand new one ofc.
