Hello everyone, I'm having an issue with my MOBO after BIOS update and I really hope you can help me.

I have Asus Z170-A board and today I updated BIOS on the board to the latest from the Asus site, ver. 3401. Before that I had a version from January of last year (don't know actual version).

Update went through the EZ update in AI utility from the desktop and the process went as expected. The process went to BIOS as always, progress bar filled up and the message said it's done and the system will restart.

The system rebooted but there was no signal on the screen. Pump was working, vents, lights also but that's it, no signal. After manual restart, MemOK light was on and I had to go through that sequence to get to BIOS, where version 3401 was installed nice and proper.

Long story long, with or without OC, no matter the RAM frequency or default settings I figured out that the system will boot "normally" only with one RAM stick (the system has 2x8) without regard of the slot or the stick itself.

When I say "normally" i mean in relative terms because there is a short "shut down like moment" when I start the computer (after which PC just starts like i pressed the button again) and also, the little line that blips in the top left corner of the screen just before Win 10 logo appears during start is moving around to several positions instead the usual one in the top left corner.

I cleared the CMOS, loaded default values in BIOS and still had to go through MemOK sequence during start (both RAM sticks in). The "blip line" is still there.... >:(

I'm really pissed off, because I didn't need a BIOS update, and I did it anyway, for being up to date and other stupid things, again >:(

If I forgot anything, ask away.

Sorry for the length of the post, :(

BR.

Edit: After a shut down and a start just a minute ago, the system went straight to BIOS :/ for no obvious reason. The blip was still there...

Update: Reverted back to previous version 3301, cleared CMOS and got the same reaction as earlier. I went to BIOS, loaded defaults and the system now starts apparently without problems, apart from that line which is still there and moves around and also it takes more time to startup.

Update 2: After every start PC goes to BIOS for some reason. I just F10 out of there without changing anything and it goes to Win, really stupid.

It is still version 3301 (not the latest one).
