Keyboard Backlight on LED strips

So, To be clear you are saying that the Strips are based off what appears on the screens

I'm slightly confused as to how they managed to stay consistent with the color of the backlight

Yes that is what it seems to be, not to the keyboard itself. They use a software that interprets the color within that section of LED to light it accordingly.

Is It Possible to reflect my keyboard (razer ornata chroma) backlight onto a set of addressable led strips with the Arduino?

I don't actually own anything except the keyboard and I would like to hear your opinions on the concept as well as how to do something like this

It's possible to do addressable LED strips to have a similar effect to the keyboard but if you are wanting to sync it all together that is not something that is possible as it needs to interface with the razer software.

Dany here has a good guide if you want to DIY a solution:

the reason I asked is because I saw this http://imgur.com/bZQz9mc from Reddit but the author didn't seem to bring up any actual information regarding how

That looks like it's not linked to the keyboard but directly as a backlight system to the monitors themselves, it's something that got popular for TV screens to make it look more seamless. This was the main one I saw before but there are many others that also provide a system like this:
