I've kept all the laptops and PCs my family goes through so I can use them for backups and RAIDS.

However, all the HDDs seem to have some kind of feature is preventing me from viewing or modifying partitions. My computer recognizes the drives and S.M.A.R.T. reports the drives are working.

I've tried removing permissions, formatting and repairing through cmd.

If someone had a solution that doesn't involve restoring old laptops please let me know.

Can you show with pictures or explain what is preventing you from viewing and changing them and also what commands you tried?

Unsure what power supply to pick?

Check out my HTPC build.
