I press play the game (a balck box) pops up for a second then it goes away, so i take it the game just crashed right away.

google said to close raptr or gaming evolved and I did, closed it in task manager. still crashes right away

I have the same issue. One idea was to change the end from x64 to x32.

I bought Old blood as well which had a different solution for my fix. For the old blood I had to change the end to x86, and add a text file. The contents of the text file was a series of numbers. The exact text file and name change did NOT work for new order.

Solution:

Possible fix for poor performance on AMD RX cards
Note: this worked for me personally with my RX480, but as always with this sort of thing, YMMV.

1. Rename WolfOldBlood_x64.exe to WolfOldBlood_x86.exe and set it to run as admin.

2. Launch the game by double-clicking the newly-renamed EXE.

3. If Steam gives you a "missing executable" error, make a new text file in your Old Blood install directory called "steam_appid.txt" containing the number 350080.

Once you get into the game, the two most important graphics settings you want to turn down are max PPF and shadow size. They don't have much of a visible benefit, but incur a huge performance hit, at least on AMD cards. Set other settings as needed.

my system is an intel i5, and amd r9 390.

yes, try not to use dark text i cant see it

Sorry it was copied directly from steam and must have retained the grey color.

Try verifying the integrity of your files by going to the game in the steam launcher, right clicking, properties, local files, verify integrity of local files.

If you have then a second .exe should have been created.

At the bottom of the list an x64 should be listed in addition to what is already present on your previous screenshot.

when i go to run the game it auto updates and makes thats exe,

then the game opens and crashes right away same as before.
