Extremely strange network problem on laptop

My laptop has very slow internet, but it's not that simple. 

 

I cannot surf on internet at all except using Chrome and the only site I can go to is YouTube. I've tried different browser and different sites but nothing else works. It has to be the specific combination of YouTube on chrome. Youtube is very fast and no hiccup at all. 

 

In task manager I can see there is 0 Kbps send nor receive other than when trying to load youtube on chrome.

 

On the same wifi, my phone is fine.

 

It's a very weird situation. I've never experienced this before and I have no idea how to fix this. Thank you for helping!!!

update your networking drivers( that should solve your problems) or get a mini PCIE networking card like Intel 7260HMW.

Have you touched windows firewall lately? Any other nerds in your house that could've been messing with the router/firewall?

update your network drivers and update windows.

if that doesnt work -

power cycle your modem and your router.

if that doesnt work -

run cmd as admin:

ipconfig /flushdns

ipconfig /release

ipconfig /renew

reboot your computer.

if that doesnt work -

change your dns to 8.8.8.8 and secondary to 8.8.4.4

I've solved the problem, it's actually an adware problem. I have adblock installed so I guess it stopped the ads from popping up, hence the every website with ad stopped working.
