Dont get a headset, get a Good pair of headphones (i assume by the options you would want a close back pair) and a separate mic (vmoda boompro or Modmic etc)

I wanted a headset so it wouldn't take up room on my desk. I don't even need great mic audio because I'm only using to communicate in skype.

IK, both the mod mic and Vmoda connect to the headphone ( the vmoda is one cable for both the headset and the mic) If REALLY are locked in to get a "gaming" headset, then get the hyperX. Btw the hyper x are Takstar Pro80 with a mic installed in it. That is why the hyperX are better than most "gaming" headsets

I have the g930 and I love em. Never heard a complaint bout my mic and I use it everyday on mumble/gaming. The range is great as well. I had to go wireless because I kept getting up from my computer and walking away with my corded headset. It's also a God send when doing daily chores. We dropped Skype to go to Mumble cuz of the white noise/static. Mumble is so clear my friend sometimes asks if I am still online.

Get HyperX Clouds, thats the only good option on your list.  Alternatively get a Sennheiser G4ME (Zero or One depending on if you want open or closed).

The G4ME headphones are to expensive. I will get the HyperX clouds if they go on sale on amazon or discord.

I thought you meant like a mic that sits on your table. I cant afford both the hyperX and another mic.

Not what i meant at all. Out of your options, the HyperX is the best Headset (headphones +mic). It would be better if u can get a separate headset and mic. There are mics that can attach your headset as previously stated: Vmoda boommicpro and Antilion mod Micbca5afa3bcd16ddea56931e18f49023a.jpg

2 years. I have dropped them off of the back of my head plenty of times. Durable af so far. $70 is what I paid and I'd pay that again for sure.

Where is the "None of the above" option?  Because that's the answer...

Instead you should get a decent pair of headphones and either a mod-mic or a desktop mic like a Blue Snowball.  You can also get a separate amp/dac which will improve your overall audio quality pretty substantially, but up front or later would be up to you and your budget.  For headphones I usually recommend the HD598SE (Sennheiser) or the K7XX (AKG/Massdrop) as solid "entry" level headphones at a reasonable price ($100-200) and stepping up from there the HD650 (Sennheiser) is a great all-around pair for about $300 but works best with decent amplification.

Which is why you get some HD598SE's when they are on sale for under $100.  They are the same design with better components and better sound quality and they are less expensive than the headset version.  Even adding the cost of the mod-mic you will spend less and they will be better in every way except the color (the white/red/black of the G4ME series is pretty sick).
