Hello guys, im starting off a new pc build for gaming with good appeal and also good preforming. This is the build i've come up with so far and i was wondering how good it would actually be for the money and if there were better things i could get or things i shouldnt spend that much money on. Thank you very much!

EDIT: Also i still have a copy of windows 7 home edition so would it be worth it for me to buy windows 10 for the new pc or just run windows 7 on it?

Get a better ssd (e.g. 850 evo), and a better psu (g3 or rm series are good). You can save money on not bothering with hdd raid, getting a cheaper mobo and cheaper cpu cooler (also cpu coolers come with gloop, you don't need to buy more seperately. Also 1080 is probably better value for money than a 1080Ti, though if you're definitely going 4k then it would be a bit better. Also I'm not a massive fan of the case, but that's the most subjective part of the build, so if you like it, go for it.

If you make a post contradicting mine that doesn't directly address my claims, or cites 'facts' without evidence, I'm probably not going to bother responding to it, because you probably didn't bother reading my post properly, and because life is too short. It doesn't mean I don't have an answer for you. It means I'm not dignifying you with a response.

I would advise not going with the 7th generation i7, being that people report it of having heating issues. Instead you could go with a 6th gen i7 or a Ryzen. Even a Ryzen 5 seems good, with 4 or 6 cores. It's true its clock speed is generally lower than those of intel chips, but you can overclock them.

I don't know how Win7 would perform with the latest chips, but I would avoid 10 if I could. However, I have no experience with 10 (being that my PC can't support it), so let those who know more speak.

They say 1080 is good enough for 4k gaming, so you could just go with a board that offers 2 way SLI and not worry much. However, you might wanna get a GPU with a higher clock.

Honestly it's a really balanced system. The only thing I would do differently is swap the sata SSD for an M.2 SSD on the motherboard. You will get even faster SSD speeds by doing that.

Ok just change the parts out to R5 1500x and RX 580 8gb or GTX 1070 saves you couple hundred bucks and you don't need X370 if your not doing SLI

well, it will definitely get you to 144hz @ 1080p in most if not every title out now at max graphics settings and will rock 1440p or run 4k great.

Without windows 10 you won't get dx12 but it's not really being developed for properly yet, but you can always upgrade down the road if it gets better, but also consider that microsoft wants to murder all their old OS's so they can do more data mining... with a bit of work though you can avoid most of it.

And yeah the 7700k does run a bit hot, but you can still get a pretty good OC with high end cooling, like that you picked out, so your build looks great

for gaming/streaming that his a beast machine. 1080ti is definitely overkill at 1080p and more suitted for 4k and could be changed for a 1080. SSD are fast enough that for gaming purposes you should only worry about quality, and sandisk is a reputable brand that i heard no major issues about therefore i would not worry about it.

The double HDD is intriguing, if you use it for data protection then it's perfect (mirror raid) if you bought 2 strictly for more storage capacity then a single 2TB would be cheaper, if you went for performance (Raid 0 strip) then you would be better in investing in a bigger SSD considering the prices drops (raid 0 on 2 hdd will not achieve 1/4 of the performance of an SSD)

the CPU cooler is luxurious and good temp can be achieve for cheaper but that is subjective at some extent

not sure how many included fan are included with the case and CPU cooler but you should consider having good airflow since you gpu is not a blower style and will benefit from it.

hope that helps
