Are they compatible ??? [ RESOLVED ]

only with an up to date bios. else only 6xxx cpu's will work.

Main System:

Anghammarad : Asrock Taichi x570, AMD Ryzen 7 5800X @4900 MHz. 32 GB DDR4 3600, some NVME SSDs, Gainward Phoenix RTX 3070TI

 

System 2 "Igluna" AsRock Fatal1ty Z77 Pro, Core I5 3570k @4300, 16 GB Ram DDR3 2133, some SSD, and a 2 TB HDD each, Gainward Phantom 760GTX.

System 3 "Inskah" AsRock Fatal1ty Z77 Pro, Core I5 3570k @4300, 16 GB Ram DDR3 2133, some SSD, and a 2 TB HDD each, Gainward Phantom 760GTX.

not as long as you put in a 7xxx intel cpu. you'll need to put in an 6xxx model first, then download the current bios from gigabyte to flash it onto the Mobo. Some UEFI bioses support flashing the bios directly over the internet. My Asrock does though. Works like a charm. But even then you'll need a supported CPU first.

 

Advise from someone who likes to put together builds... If you can live with a cpu one generation older, which is only measurablebly slower than the actual generation, get a 6xxx intel cpu with the board.

 

If you can't live with that, pick a 200 series mobo.

managed to update my bios to the new f20 update which has added support for the 7th generation intel core, so should the i5-7500 work fine now

i have a i3-6100 currently i just managed to update my bios to the f20 update by using a flash drive , the update has support for the new 7th generation intel cores. Will the i5-7500 now work fine with this motherboard ?
