Is the PC only for gaming? What resolution you're going to game at?

Make sure the mobo BIOS is updated

Get 16GB RAM

Get a better PSU

If possible, get 6700K/7700K, a decent aftermarket cooler and Z170/Z270 mobo for better gaming performance

Desktop specs:

Spoiler

AMD Ryzen 5 5600 Thermalright Peerless Assassin 120 SE ARGB Gigabyte B550M DS3H mATX

Asrock Challenger Pro OC Radeon RX 6700 XT Corsair Vengeance LPX 16GB (8Gx2) 3600MHz CL18 Kingston NV2 1TB PCIe 4.0 NVMe SSD

He's helping me to build a pc,

its gonna be mainly for gaming probably for streaming as well on twitch

when im not using the pc for gaming it will run GNS3 Lab

the specs posted is 8GB Ram x2 Sticks (cost pref - 16GB stick is more expensive)

1 question - what does mobo means ? just so i can understand your suggestion

For those games I think you could get away with a i7 6700 instead of a 7700. If you don't plan on overclocking it you don't have to get a k version.

8GB of ddr4 ram is sufficient but rather have 16GB, should be good to go :)

Also, for a power supply I would rather take a 650W just to be safe.

If you want streaming then better get Ryzen 7 CPU

Mobo means motherboard

Since Israel doesn't have PCPP, I'll list down the parts:

1. AMD Ryzen 7 1700

2. Any B350 mobo

3. Any 16GB high speed RAM (3000 or above, lower speed also fine if you know how to OC)

4. Any 1TB/2TB HDD

5. Any good SSD, this may help you to choose a good SSD:

6. Any GTX 1070 except reference cards (founders edition, blower style design)

7. Any case you like

8. Any decent PSU like Corsair CX-M grey and Seasonic S12II. Get any tier 1-3 PSU from here:

No problem, I'll make some changes:

1. Ryzen 5 1600 CPU

2. RX 480/580 8GB or GTX 1060 6GB

3. Get low speed RAM and OC it

Edit: 4. HDD and SSD not necessary since you already have them

i got kingston SSD + WD HDD from my old pc should be fine i believe

does OC on ram is a must? or 2400GHZ can cut it ?

any special cooling (not a standard fan) for the CPU is needed?

Ryzen7 is great for streaming, it's just a bit expensive compared to what you selected.

I'm not sure how ryzen 5 does with streaming but I suppose a 6 core 12 thread processor would do fine. And they also ship with stock coolers, so no extra money going to an aftermarket cooler.

Try watching some videos about it on YouTube to learn what does what and what you actually need. Helped me a lot :)

1. Fine

2. Yeah Ryzen CPUs benefit from high speed RAM, it's advisable to OC it

3. The stock cooler is pretty decent. Aftermarket cooler not necessary
