4 pin splitter on 2/3 fan header?

kioskhill45

I have the p400s tg from phanteks, and it has a 3 speed fan controller and can take only 3 fans. It's connections can fit 4 pin connectors, but it only has 2 pins on it! the 3 pin fans included work fine, but will a 4 pin 3 fan splitter be able to run all 3 4 pin fans on it? Also, why is it only 2 pins?

Yes, The last pin to my knowledge is only for the pwm function. The main three are for the actual fan, so you should be fine.

It's only 2 pins because the splitter is incapable of individual fan monitoring and pwm control, pin 3 and 4, 1 & 2 are ground and power so you're likely still able to control their speeds to some extent through voltage

Correct pins 3 and 4 are rpm tach and pwm.
